Glazed Bakery is a new pastry store located in downtown Toronto. They make various kind of pastries from cakes to donuts and macaroons. Because of Covid 19 and movement restrictions they needed an online mobile app to help their customers order directly from them and get it delivered to their house, instead of going through the normal middle man like ubereat or doordash  This helps distinguish their brand from every bakery in town.

User Persona

Joan is pastry lover, who since the beginning of the pandemic has not really had the opportunity to go out and get one due to the lock down, coupled with the fact that she works a 9-5
FRUSTRATIONS: She goes through uber eat and doordash, but there are a lot to consider and all she needs is a store dedicated to pastries alone.
NEEDS: Joan needs to get her donuts and cakes delivered to her house the same day without the hassle of middleman delivery companies.
CHALLENGEHow might we improve the process of shopping online with an emphasis on customer engagement?
SOLUTION: A mobile app dedicated solely to pastries where she can browse without stress.






There are multiple pages to keep the user engaged throughout the app: there is a also a feedback page and enquiry page to help the user interact with customer care and give feedbacks to help improve the app.
CONSIDERATIONS Now, to keep her attention, I think personalizing her experience with quizzes could be useful in determining her choice and  to help her better understand what she likes. Also, fleshing out the Find trending section to include more menus of the day.
TAKEAWAYS I understand that users want to know what is in their pastry, therefore including a recipe and ingredient section will help make the user journey smoother.
